Kate Cotter is a semi-retired professional singer-songwriter and lifelong creative with nearly two decades of dedicated research in psychedelic medicine. Driven by a commitment to mental health and personal transformation, Kate advocates for the therapeutic potential of psychedelics in addressing conditions like PTSD, addiction, depression, and anxiety, as well as offering profound opportunities for personal and spiritual growth. Kate believes that revising drug policy on the issue of psychedelics is a crucial step in bringing much-needed healing to our communities, as well as a critical matter of criminal justice reform. Kate serves as the executive director of both Nevada Coalition for Psychedelic Medicines, a 501(c)4 advocacy organization, and Sierra Psychedelic Society, a 501(c)3 nonprofit focused on providing education, building community, and promoting risk management around psychedelic medicines.
Kate’s dedication to psychedelic therapy is complemented by her studies in depth psychology, Jungian theory, neuroscience, and mindfulness practices. She is a certified yoga instructor, a trained flow state coach, and holds degrees in Religion and French. In addition to completing a 20-hour course in the neuroscience of psychedelics, Kate graduated from Psychedelics Today’s 12-month Vital Psychedelic Training Program in Psychedelic Therapies and Integration, equipping her with a robust foundation for advancing psychedelic education and responsible use.
